Maintenance Manager

Department: Operations

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Supervises: Maintenance Technicians and Assistant Maintenance Technicians

Location: Island wide:-(Naggo Head-based with Site Travel)

Working Conditions

·        Split between office and field environments.

·        Regular travel to RPJ depots and redemption centres island wide.

·        May require extended hours during breakdowns or project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring effective work load distribution, performance management, and continuous upskilling.

·        Develop, implement, and monitor a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery, vehicles, and facility infrastructure.

·        Conduct strategic equipment assessments and recommend upgrades or replacements to support operational efficiency.

·        Oversee the maintenance, repair, and safety compliance of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, forklifts, and hydraulic machines.

·        Coordinate with approved contractors for specialized services and ensure adherence to quality, timeline, and cost standards.

·        Ensure accurate maintenance documentation, including logs, service history, and incident reports.

·        Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of plant and depot equipment and infrastructure.

·        Establish and enforce safety protocols aligned with occupational health and safety standards.

·        Develop an annual maintenance budget and monitor utilization.

·        Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Finance to plan and prioritize asset investments and repair needs.

·        Support strategic planning efforts by analyzing maintenance data and advising on long-term infrastructure needs.

·        Foster a high-performance culture within the maintenance team by providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance or plant operations
• Experience with forklifts, hydraulic equipment, and industrial electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across the island
