Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities across RPJ depots and facilities. The role ensures equipment uptime, safety compliance, and operational readiness of machines such as forklifts, balers, bobcats, and other infrastructure-related systems. The incumbent supports day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance activities and collaborates with the Maintenance Manager to meet service standards and efficiency targets.
Working Conditions
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of forklifts, bobcats, balers, and other operational equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs as directed and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate service logs and update maintenance records in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in identifying worn or faulty parts and recommend replacements or repairs.
• Report any abnormalities, hazards, or breakdowns immediately and support emergency response maintenance.
• Support facility maintenance including lighting, electrical panels, plumbing, and minor infrastructure repairs.
• Follow standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance work area.
• Provide field support during external contractor work and assist with inspections.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools, parts, and maintenance equipment.

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Experience
• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related trade
• 2+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance or plant operations
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards
• Valid Driver’s License (preferred)
